Education

Our Outreach Program offers speakers in long term recovery who visit area schools and offer first-person experience of life in recovery, presented to students in a non-judgmental manner, encouraging them to share their own experiences related to substance use disorder.

In addition to schools we present information about our services to social service agencies, businesses, and at community gatherings.  We are available to meet with individuals and families when they are attemtping to access services.  We offer a comprehensive view of the different treatment modalities available empowering people to make informed choices about what recovery path is right for them.

We provide a bridge to those people engaging in MAT (medication assisted treatment) encouraging them to build a community in recovery that will sustain them when formal treatment has ended.

We do individual training on administering Narcan, the overdose reversal medication, and we are able to provide it free of charge in a confidential setting.

Advocacy

We seek at the local, State, regional and Federal levels to promote awareness of the chronic nature of addictive illness; the effectiveness, economies and continuity available through peer support, and to work toward parity for cultural, medical and social services support for recovery
